The problem is, if you do not know the daily direction, you are flipping a coin. Even if your entry is perfect on the lower timeframe, if you are trading against the daily flow, you are going to get stopped out."

You learn ICT. You learn about order blocks, fair value gaps, all the good stuff. But then you are entering trades on the 1-hour or 4-hour timeframe with 50 to 100 pip stop losses.
And that is fine if you are trading your own account with no drawdown rules. But prop firms do not care about your long-term edge. They care about your drawdown. And those large stops will eat through your drawdown limit in two or three losing trades."

Say you have a $100K funded account. Most firms give you 10% max drawdown. That is $10,000. Sounds like a lot, right?
Now, if you are entering on the 1-hour timeframe with an 80-pip stop, that is $800 per lot per trade. You take 3 losses in a row. That happens to everyone. That is $2,400. You just burned through almost a quarter of your drawdown in three trades. And you have not even made money yet.
Now look at the EBP entry. Same concept. Same direction. But you are entering on the 15-minute or 5-minute chart after waiting for a displacement candle in the direction of your daily bias. Your stop is 20 pips. $200 per lot. Three losses? $600. That is 6% of your drawdown.
Same strategy. Same concepts. But 4x less risk per trade. This is why entry matters. And this is why most traders who learn ICT on the higher timeframes still fail their challenges. The concepts are right. The execution is wrong for prop firm rules."

Now I know what some of you are thinking. 'Omar, how often does this show up?' More than you think. On any liquid pair or index, you get 3-5 clean EBP setups per week. That is more than enough to pass a prop firm challenge."

Rule: ONLY trade in the direction of your bias. No exceptions.

And here is the rule that separates funded traders from everyone else: you ONLY trade in the direction of your bias. No exceptions. No 'well, I see a really nice short setup even though my bias is bullish.' No. If your bias says buy, you buy or you sit on your hands. Period.
This one rule alone will cut your losing trades in half. Because half the time when traders lose, they are trading against the daily direction. EBP eliminates that entirely."

Why? This is when institutional volume enters. This is when the daily bias plays out. Before 9:30 AM: Manipulation. After 12:00 PM: Diminishing returns.

You do not trade at 3 AM. You do not trade during the Asian session. You do not jump in during London hoping for an early move. You wait for the New York kill zone. 9:30 AM to 12:00 PM EST.
Why? Because this is when the real money enters the market. Institutional flow. The big banks. The hedge funds. This is when the daily move happens.
Before 9:30, the market is usually running liquidity. Manipulating. Faking traders out. After 12:00 PM, the volume starts drying up and moves become choppy.
The kill zone is your window. Two and a half hours. That is all you need. One trade. One entry. In and out.
This is also why EBP is perfect for you if you have a 9-to-5 job. You do not need to sit at the charts for 8 hours. You check your bias in the morning, wait for the kill zone, take your trade, and go live your life."

Now you are waiting for one thing: a displacement candle. What is that? It is a strong, decisive candle that breaks market structure in the direction of your bias. Not a little doji. Not a spinning top. A real candle with a full body that tells you institutional money just entered.
When you see that displacement candle, you enter on the close. That is your signal. The daily bias confirmed the direction. The displacement candle confirmed the momentum. You are not guessing. You are reacting to what the market just told you.
And because you are entering on the 15-minute or 5-minute chart, your stop loss is tight. 15 to 30 pips instead of 50 to 100. That is the difference between surviving three losing trades and blowing your challenge."

ONE trade per day maximum. Close the charts after your trade.

Your stop loss goes below the recent swing low if you are buying, or above the recent swing high if you are selling. On the 15-minute chart. That gives you a stop of 15 to 30 pips. Tight. Clean. Manageable.
Your target is the previous day's high if you are buying, or the previous day's low if you are selling. That typically gives you 40 to 80 pips of profit. So your risk-to-reward is 1:2 or 1:3 on most trades.
And here is the most important rule. You take ONE trade per day. Maximum. Win or lose, you close the charts. You are done.
Why? Because overtrading is the number one killer on prop firm challenges. One bad loss leads to a revenge trade. The revenge trade leads to another loss. And suddenly you have burned 40% of your drawdown in one day.
EBP protects you from that. One trade. One decision. Then walk away."

15-minute chart, New York kill zone. At 9:45 AM, the market swept the Asian session high, which is exactly what we want to see. That is the manipulation phase of the Power of Three. Then at 10:30, a strong bearish displacement candle broke structure to the downside. Entry.
Stop loss above the swing high. 22 pips. Target was the previous day's low. Hit for 47 pips. 1:2.1 risk-to-reward.
Notice how clean this is. No indicators. No RSI. No MACD. Just the daily candle for bias, and the 15-minute for entry. Two things."

GBP/USD. Daily chart showed a bullish engulfing bar. Bias was bullish. During the kill zone, I got a displacement candle and took the entry. But the market reversed. It swept my stop. Minus 24 pips.
Now here is the thing. On a $100K account, that is a $240 loss. That is 0.24% of my total drawdown. I can take 40 losses like that before I fail the challenge. Forty.
Compare that to a trader using 80-pip stops. That same loss is $800, or 0.8% of drawdown. They can only take 12 losses before they are done.
Losses happen. They happen to everyone. The question is not whether you will have losing trades. The question is whether your system keeps those losses small enough to survive them. EBP does."
